Healthy Feet Bristol ensures that all instruments, equipment and processes are either disposable or sterilised to the approved standards of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists to ensure a minimal risk of cross infection.

All instruments are cleaned after use, with a nylon instrument brush to remove any large debris and then an ultrasonic cleaner removes any fine debris. The instruments are rinsed and then autoclaved for the recommended cycle of sterilisation.

Disposable blades are placed in a special sharps container and disposed of appropriately.

Clinical waste is put in a special sack, and is disposed of by an approved company with a license to legally dispose of this type of waste.
